**AP/AR/Payroll Specialist**
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced AP/AR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, preferably within the hospitality industry. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our mission-driven community and help us grow our Accounting Department.

Our organization is a non-denominational Christian community rooted in Judeo-Christian doctrine. We have five separate entities, including three non-profit and two for-profit organizations. Despite the challenges of COVID, our entities remained operational, and we are now expanding our Accounting Department.

**Summary:**
We are looking for a punctual and reliable individual who can work well under pressure. Your responsibilities will include processing accounts payable, sales receipts, accounts receivable, and payroll, all while adhering to established accounting policies and procedures.
**Major Responsibilities:**
- Adhere to and model the organization's Mission, Core Values, and Guiding Principles.
- Process accounts payable, sales receipts, and payroll.
- Act as the primary contact for accounts payable for vendors, management, and project managers.
- Maintain vendor records, track receipts of goods and services, and reconcile invoices.
- Prepare and mail payments, and provide monthly accounts payable reports.
- Process sales receipts, prepare daily bank deposits, and reconcile daily sales.
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll, maintain employee timesheets, and process payroll tax returns.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Participate in cross-training and other accounting functions as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 18 credits in Accounting or Business.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and payroll processing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software like Dynamics GP 2018.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work additional hours or days to meet deadlines, including weekends.
**Education and Experience:**
- Minimum 18 credits of college education in Accounting.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or similar industries.
- 3+ years of experience with cash receipts and bank deposits.
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in Dynamics GP 2018.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to solve practical problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Physical Demands:**

**Work Environment:**
- Moderate noise level typical of a business office.
- 100% onsite position with daily COVID testing and face coverings required.
**Benefits:**
- Competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour.
- Full-time position with expected hours of 40-45 per week.

**Schedule:**
- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime.
**Location:**
- Relocation to San Diego, CA required before starting work.
