Short Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are to coordinate the internal contract review processes, negotiate with external parties, facilitate legal review, manage administrative issues involving contracts, improve intra and inter departmental workflows, forms, and processes, and serve as a resource for departmental partners.

The applicant must understand different types of contracts and legal documents, thrive on managing documents and workflows, work collaboratively with multiple internal clients, and be able to prioritize assignment based on institutional needs and departmental resources focused on Cooper’s priorities. As a manager level position, the Contract Manager must be able to utilize direct reports to carry out its goals and objectives.

Experience Required

6-10 years experience in Law firm or prior experience in healthcare system serving in a similar role.

Education Requirements

Master’s or Doctorate Degrees in Management or Law will be given special consideration provided the candidate’s experience relates to contract workflow and/or systems management.

History/Government/Management/Employment related fields preferred

License/Certification Requirements

Either Paralegal certification or law license to indicate understanding of the legal requirements for contracts, contract negotiations, standard terms & conditions, and dispute resolution process are a benefit.
