**This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $28 per hour**

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Technician, to provide hands-on support for all network-related tasks. This includes offering escort services, performing basic network cabling, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The role is focused on minimal technical support tasks with a strong emphasis on ensuring smooth and efficient network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and support network infrastructure within the data center.
• Provide escort services for third-party vendors working on network-related projects.
• Perform basic network cabling (installation, termination, and testing).
• Facilitate customer communications, ensuring any issues or updates are effectively relayed.
• Troubleshoot minor network issues and escalate more complex problems to higher-tier support teams.
• Collaborate with a team to support operational continuity across multiple sites.
• Travel to Spoke locations as needed to provide on-site support (with prior arrangement).

Technical Environment & Minimum Skills Required:

• Basic technical support skills in a data center environment.
• Networking knowledge, including basic cable management and troubleshooting.
• Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow) is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in network support roles.
• Professional Accreditations: A+; Network+; CCT preferred.

Nice to Have Skills/Experience:

• Networking experience in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.

Working Environment:

• The role requires working in a team setting to ensure seamless network operations and support.
• Ideal candidates will be locally based for easy access to the data center.
• Remote work is not available for this role; on-site presence is mandatory.

Travel Requirements:

• Occasional travel to support Spoke locations may be required. Travel arrangements will be discussed and coordinated with the service provider in advance.

Pay: $28 per hour

Hours:  40 hours per week; overtime where required

Rolling six (6) month contract / 1099 contractor position
