Job Description
We're looking for a dynamic and visionary Director of International/New Markets Product Development to join our team in Bloomington, MN. In this role, you'll lead product innovation efforts across global markets, focusing on bringing new and exciting products to our diverse customer base. You'll be responsible for developing and executing product strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and collaborating with franchisees and suppliers to drive our brand's success internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Product Innovation: Drive the development and prioritization of new and core product pipelines. Define and implement innovative product development processes that enhance global sales and customer engagement.
Collaborate and Influence: Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to bring complex projects from concept to launch. Build strong relationships with vendors, franchisees, and internal departments to ensure successful product rollouts.
Drive Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies based on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging food technologies. Use this insight to create products that drive efficiency and profitability.
Team Leadership: Inspire and manage both direct and indirect reports. Foster a culture of creativity and high performance while maintaining a hands-on approach to coaching and development.
Global Perspective: Support all international regions, including China, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Latin America, and new markets. Tailor product development strategies to meet diverse regional needs and opportunities.
Communicate Effectively: Present new product concepts and strategies to executives, franchisees, and professional organizations. Articulate ideas clearly and inspire action to achieve our corporate goals.
What We're Looking For:
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. 7-10 years of progressive R&D experience in QSR or food service, with 3-5 years of experience managing product development teams.
Skills & Attributes: Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and a knack for building relationships. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams to create and implement successful product innovations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and travel globally up to 30%.
Additional Information:
Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in the office per week. We also consider remote candidates who are not within commuting distance to our Bloomington office.
