Job Description

Responsible for checking the ID of the driver and all passengers inside the vehicle each time they enter the gate, even if they have been in and out previously during the day. Your duties are to check-in visitors, greet guests, and ensure that unauthorized people or products do not enter or leave the premises. Other responsibilities of a gate guard may include directing visitors, checking credentials, and even doing basic maintenance in and around the construction gate area.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Physically touch and visually inspect the ID badges

Identify Visitors and Employees

Check the expiration date to make sure the badge is valid.

Checking each vehicle to ensure that it meets the client's requirements
Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
Opens gates to allow entrance or exit of employees, truckers, and authorized visitors
Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or product
Inspect vehicles to prevent contraband
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as theft, equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences
Check vehicle identification such as license plates, registration, and safety inspection certificates

Attended daily and monthly safety meetings

Ability to work extended hours and irregular days with irregular breaks.

Ability to work outdoors in all elements.

Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.

Occasionally help with labor crews during prep, clean-up as required, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Work overtime as required

Ability to stand for long hours

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions
May be required to work rotating shifts or weekends
Work environments may vary, including construction sites, gated communities, office buildings, etc.

Must have reliable transportation

Must submit to a Background Screening

Salary: $ 12.00 14.00 Per Hour
