Job Description



We are seeking a dedicated and qualified LPN/LVN to join our team, providing essential nursing services in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health or related fields and be proficient in delivering nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other designated supervisor. This role requires adherence to established policies and procedures while applying sound judgment in delivering patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

Nursing Care:

  • Provide nursing services at the Service Provider Site (SPS) under the supervision/direction of the Operations Manager, Nurse Coordinator, or another contractor RN.
  • Deliver nursing care that requires an understanding of diseases and illnesses to effectively communicate with physicians, registered nurses, clients, and client agencies.
  • Follow general instructions and established policies, practices, and procedures in providing care.
  • Use judgment to vary the sequence of procedures based on the client’s condition and previous instructions, seeking guidance for unusual occurrences.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Enter all services delivered into the Federal Occupational Health (FOH) Management Information System (MIS) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all nursing activities adhere to the approved RN oversight plan and comply with state regulations where the LPN/LVN is licensed and practices.

Patient Interaction:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and responding to their needs with compassion and professionalism.
  • Enhance communication between the healthcare team and patients by leveraging knowledge of diseases and conditions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain licensure and certifications.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.

Location: This position is based within a Federal Occupational Health setting, with potential for occasional travel depending on operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Licensure : Active LVN or LPN license.
  • Certification : Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Experience : At least one (1) year of experience in Occupational Health (OH) or related areas such as public/community health, outpatient clinics, school nursing, or physician office nursing.
  • Supervision Plan : A plan for RN oversight must be established and approved by the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) prior to assignment. This plan must comply with Board of Nursing regulations in the state of licensure and practice.

Compensation - Min: $50,000| Max: $70,000

This position is in the proposal stage, we are waiting to be awarded the project.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
