We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging Engineer to join our client. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food and beverage packaging, particularly with films and corrugated materials. This individual will also provide support to the sales team by addressing packaging engineering needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop packaging solutions using various substrates, with a focus on films and corrugated materials.
Understand and implement printing processes specific to packaging films.
Collaborate with sales representatives to address customer packaging needs and provide engineering support.
Work closely with clients to recommend the appropriate type of film or corrugated material based on product requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Maintain consistency in design and functionality while meeting all regulatory and safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field (required).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the packaging industry, with a strong emphasis on food and beverage packaging.
Extensive knowledge of various film compositions and their specific applications.
Experience in designing and developing packaging solutions for corrugated materials.
Strong understanding of printing processes for packaging films.
Proven ability to manage key accounts and maintain client relationships.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel locally, with occasional travel outside of Texas as needed.
