Location: Cambridge, MA

Description: A Principal Electronic/Electrical Engineer designs, develops, tests, and oversees the manufacturing of electrical printed circuit boards (PCBs), analog and digital circuits, electronic equipment, sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems. The engineer develops the architecture, designs circuits, performs simulations, performs physical layout, verifies and tests designs. Performs a variety of engineering activities throughout the life-cycle to support: planning, design, test, deployment, and sustainment.

This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures.
• Design and complete instruments, including microprocessors, power components, and analog circuits.
• Innovatively solve technical issues, ensuring project completion according to schedule.
• Build, test, and debug prototypes, preparing thorough documentation for manufacturing and support.
• Research and implement cutting-edge solutions for complex designs.
• Engage with fellow engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost-effective product solutions.
• Independently address complex problems, defining requirements and adapting to changing customer needs.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in advanced architectures and designs for complex ASICs.
• Contribute to business development and proposal activities.
• Identify and mitigate program/system-level technical risks.
• Manage multi-disciplinary tasks, communicating effectively with project leadership and customers.
• Document and teach best practices to less experienced engineers.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency in electronic design, microprocessors, and embedded computing.
• Understanding of design principles and general computer architecture.
• Ability to write detailed design specifications.
• Strong programming and coding abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid mathematical aptitude.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven time management abilities, meeting deadlines effectively.
