What You'll Do:

As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in accounting tasks. While you'll start with entry-level responsibilities, we encourage growth and development, and you'll have the chance to take on more advanced tasks as you gain experience. You'll be working under the guidance of a Senior Accountant or Manager and will be part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain Financial Records: Manage bank reconciliations, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers with precision.
- Record Transactions: Accurately record daily transactions, including purchases and sales, into our accounting system.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in preparing and analyzing profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and income statements.
- Ensure Compliance: Make sure that all reporting adheres to state and federal regulations.
- Support Audits: Assist with internal and financial audits to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Manage Accounts Payable: Keep detailed accounts payable records and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Assist with Financial Reporting: Help prepare periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and year-end).
- Budget Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of budget forecasts to support planning efforts.
- Cost and Revenue Recommendations: Provide insights on reducing costs, increasing revenue, and improving operational efficiency.
- Income Tax Support: Be familiar with income tax requirements and assist in preparing and filing tax documents.

What We're Looking For:

- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Experience: Previous experience in accounting is a plus, but a willingness to learn and grow is equally important.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively, and adept at multitasking.
